Introducing IIDA Gateway Chapter’s New President-Elect

When IIDA Gateway Chapter announced their new board members, we saw a familiar name on the list: Fox Architects interior designer Dani Sheley!

An IIDA member since 2018, Dani served as co-VP of Membership in 2019. Starting July 1, she will serve as President-Elect, which is a three-year commitment. For the first year, Dani will assist the President in running the organization and fulfill all responsibilities in her absence. The following year, Dani will serve as board President, overseeing all aspects, and will serve as Past-President for the final year.

During her time as co-VP of Membership, Dani participated in several important initiatives. She was part of the grant writing team for IIDA grants, through which IIDA launched the LINK student program. Dani also assisted in organizing the Capes for Kids membership drive and design competition where designers create capes for kids suffering with terminal diseases. All capes were donated to local Childrens’ Hospitals after the event.
